Chattel Trespass in the U.S.:
- Occurs when an actor intentionally uses or intermeddles with a chattel in the possession of another and the actor’s conduct harms the chattel’s condition, quality, or value
- Inference is actionable despite lack of physical harm so long as the interference destroys its value
International trespass laws vary and may provide the basis for a claim U.S. laws would not recognize
