Consumers Contract
Current Draft(Article 7)
- Consumers may bring a claim in the courts of the State in which it is habitually resident, if
- the conclusion of the contract on which the claim is related to trade or professional activities that the defendant has engaged in or directed to that State, and
- the consumer has taken the steps necessary for the conclusion of the contract in that State.

Next, I am dealing with Consumers Contracts, which is dealt with in the article 7 in the draft convention, which was already discussed intensively at the last panel yesterday. As was introduced there, in the draft, consumers may bring a claim in the courts of the State in which it is habitually resident, if
the conclusion of the consumer contract related to trade or professional activities that the defendant has engaged in or directed to that State, and
the consumer has taken the steps necessary for the conclusion of the contract in that State.
