Notes:
Action on three levels has come out of the Ottawa OECD Ministerial:
- OECD member countries agreed to a framework on taxation as well as declarations on privacy, consumer protection and authentication;
- business leaders developed an action plan for cooperation on self-regulatory approaches; and
- participating international organizations produced the first-ever compilation of international work on electronic commerce, and set out a common framework for their current and future action on e-com.
