Let me give you a quick sense of the scale of the transformation, at least in terms of time and cost -- two fairly important factors, I think you will agree.
Not very long ago, overnight delivery seemed to be a breakthrough in sharing documents over long distances. Today, other technologies have entered the market and fundamentally changed the speed and cost of sharing information and making business decisions.
While it takes 24 hours and costs nearly a dollar a page to send a 42 page document to Japan by courier, sending it by fax saves nearly a day -- not to mention $14. Contrast that to sending the same document over the Internet.
It takes two minutes and costs little more than a dime -- in Canadian currency!
