The work of the Working Group to date has surfaced a number of key issues that I would like to review with you today.
The first is the issue of exactly what questions we are addressing and what we are not. What is the focus of our work?
The second is exactly what we mean by “banking” in this context.
The third is a review of Traditional Payments Systems.
The fourth is a review of Alternative Payment Systems.
The fifth is a discussion of certain Important Commonalities that underlie the provision of both financial and non-financial services and products.
The sixth is a discussion of the Country of Origin/Country of Destination debate.
