Local Governements Lobbying Congress
State and Local Governments in the U.S. are lobbying Congress to grant them jurisdiction over out-of state sellers for use tax collection purposes.
None of these efforts include any mention of Congress taking on any sort of oversight role in the imposition of state and local taxes.
