Åke Nilson

Managing Director, Marinade Limited, United Kingdom;
Chair, ICC Electronic Commerce Project, Paris

Master of Laws, Uppsala, Sweden 1982. Worked in the London marine insurance market 1983-88. Set up Marinade Limited, an electronic commerce consultancy, London 1988.

Specialises in legal aspects of electronic commerce, EDI for the insurance and transport sectors, security issues, management issues for clients ranging from very large telecommunications providers to multi-national corporations and SMEs. Also involved in several major EC-funded research projects including Bolero.

Now heavily involved in the commercialisation of project Bolero.

Chairman, ICC Electronic Commerce Project (ECP), and member of several committees on electronic commerce, shipping and the law. Writes for the trade press, lectures occasionally at university level and speaks regularly at conferences and seminars.
