Sven-Erik Heun

Sven-Erik Heun is Partner with Clifford Chance Frankfurt with wide
experience in telecommunications and internet law and main contact for
telecommunications law. He has focused on telecommunications law and legal
questions of electronic business communication (EDI, Online Services,
Internet) since the first major restructuring of the German
telecommunications market in 1989. He is co-author of a standard legal
treatise on cross-border data flows and published numerous articles on legal
questions of telecommunications law in reviews such as "Computer und Recht"
and "Archiv für Post und Telekommunikation". He is correspondent to
"Computer und Recht", speaks frequently at industry conferences and lectures
for the "Deutsche Anwaltsakademie", the German Lawyer's Academy on
telecommunications law. Sven-Erik Heun is co-chairman of the working party
on "Telecommunications" of the German Computer Law Association (Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Recht und Informatik, DGRI) and a member of a project group
of the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft für wirtschaftliche Verwaltung e.V." on legal
aspects of digital communication.

Relevant experience on Internet and E-Commerce:
- Providing ongoing advice to telecommunications operators, internet
service and content providers on regulatory and contractual aspects of
telecommunications and internet law and business, including consumer and
data protection issues.
- Advising telecommunications operators and internet service and content
providers on national and international customer contracts, including
drafting of general terms and conditions, individual key customer and
outsourcing contracts, collocation and equipment housing agreements and
negotiating of such contracts.
- Advising providers and customers of telecommunications and information
technology services on large system integration and internet projects,
including Homebanking and customer care and billing solutions, drafting and
negotiating project agreements.
- Advising providers of payment systems regarding implementation and
contractual structuring of electronic payment systems for E-Commerce
transactions.
- Advising organizations in the telecommunications and internet sectors in
M&A transactions and on public share offerings.
