Kristen M. Verderame

Kristen is the Vice President, U.S. Regulation and Government Relations for BT North America, and is based in Washington, D.C. She is responsible for advocating the policy positions of British Telecommunications plc to the U.S. Government, including U.S. Government agencies and Congress, and within U.S. industry groups and associations. She is also responsible for leading the international trade activities for the company, and regulatory and legal work as needed for the company's U.S. operations.

Prior to joining BT North America, Kristen was an associate attorney with the law firm of Dewey Ballantine LLP in the International Trade Group. Kristen advised clients with respect to GATT/WTO claims, handled several antidumping duty cases for steel products before the U.S. Government and Federal Courts, and advised clients on international trade policy issues in telecommunications and other industries.

Kristen received her Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, and her Bachelors of Arts degree from Albion College, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with Honors.
