Declan McCullagh is the chief political correspondent for CNET's He lives and works in Washington DC.

An award-winning journalist, McCullagh writes and speaks frequently about technology, law, and politics. For the last four years, he has been the Washington bureau chief for Wired News. Previously he was a reporter for Time Digital Daily, Time's The Netly News, and Time Magazine, as well as a correspondent for HotWired.

McCullagh's articles have appeared in scores of publications including George magazine, The New Republic, the Wall Street Journal, Playboy magazine, Communications of the ACM, and the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. He has appeared on NPR's All Things Considered, ABC News' Good Morning America, NBC Evening News, Court TV, and CNN. He is a fellow at Case Western Reserve University's law school.
