Colm J. Dobbyn is senior vice president and associate general counsel, Law Department, for MasterCard International. In this role, he has overall responsibility for providing and supervising legal support for intellectual property and technology matters for the company. Additionally, Mr. Dobbyn oversees all legal support to various client groups within MasterCard, including e-Business and Global Value Partners.

Mr. Dobbyn joined MasterCard in 1995 as vice president, having previously held positions as counsel, senior attorney and intellectual property attorney at PepsiCo, Inc. Prior to PepsiCo, he also served as an associate attorney in the field of intellectual property litigation at the law firms of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom and Morgan Finnegan.

Mr. Dobbyn is admitted to the bars of New York State and the U.S. Patent and Trademarks Office and is active in the American Corporate Counsel Association and the International Trademark Association. He is a board member of the Internet Law and Policy Forum.

He received a bachelor of arts in natural science, with an emphasis in molecular and cellular biology, from Bennington College. Mr. Dobbyn also holds a doctor of jurisprudence degree from Fordham University School of Law.

He is married and has two children.
