Christopher G. Bubb

Mr. Bubb joined America Online in March of 2001, after 16 years as a prosecutor in the New Jersey Attorney General's Office. He is currently an Assistant General Counsel in the Legal Compliance and Investigations Unit at AOL that supports Company and Law enforcement efforts to deter individuals from conducting criminal activity on and through the AOL service. In its compliance function the Unit handles thousands of subpoenas, court orders and search warrants from federal, state, local and international law enforcement agencies requesting information to assist in investigations and prosecutions. The Legal Compliance and Investigations Unit has developed and conducted training for law enforcement at all levels to acquaint them with the law and procedures necessary to obtain the information they need to successfully conclude a computer or Internet-related investigation.

From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Bubb was a Supervising Deputy Attorney General and Chief of the Computer Analysis and Technology Unit in the Attorney General's Office. He also provided legal advice and prosecution support to the High Tech Crime and Litigation Support Unit of the New Jersey State Police. In that capacity, he investigated and prosecuted computer and Internet-related crimes such as computer hacking, theft, fraud, and child predatory crimes such as luring and child pornography. During his tenure as Chief of the Computer Analysis and Technology Unit, Mr. Bubb was responsible for the investigation that resulted in the arrest and prosecution of the individual responsible for the creation and spread of the "Melissa" Computer Virus.

In 1997 and 1998, Mr. Bubb was the inaugural Fellow in the Computer and Telecommunication law Fellowship at the United States Department of Justice, Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section sponsored by the National Association of Attorneys General. During that fellowship he studied computer and telecommunication law.

Prior to 1997 Mr. Bubb was assigned to the Narcotics and Organized Crime Bureaus in the Attorney General's Office where he investigated and prosecuted sophisticated organized criminal enterprises using state-of-the-art electronic surveillance techniques.

Mr. Bubb graduated from the Dickinson School, Carlisle Pennsylvania in 1984 and is admitted to the Bar in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
