Mita is a lawyer in BT responsible for development and implementation of legal policy on internet and multimedia issues. Prior to that she has worked in a variety of legal roles, specialising in the fields of intellectual property, regulatory and competition law.

Mita is qualified as a barrister and holds a degree in Chemistry and a Masters degree in Commercial and Corporate Law from University College London. She participates in a number of legal and policy working groups dealing with internet issues, including the Legal Advisory Group of the e-centre, CBI, ICC, ETNO and ILPF and also the Joint Bar/Law Society Working Party on Competition.
